Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October – The origins of Derma SR

When the pink ribbon becomes a familiar symbol each October, we are reminded of how deeply the origins of our brand Derma SR are connected to the topic of breast cancer.

A Beginning Marked by Scar Treatment

When Derma SR founder Ingrid Bregenzer began treating more and more women in her cosmetic institute in St. Gallen who sought to conceal scars or reconstruct the areola after breast cancer surgery, she recognized the synergy between classical cosmetics and medical skin therapy. Paramedical pigmentation – the optical reconstruction of the nipple and the improvement of scar tissue – was the first step. From the vision to also strengthen scarred skin from within, regenerate it, and sustainably improve its appearance, Derma SR was born: a line of cosmeceuticals uniting skincare, science, and regeneration.

Treatment Successes through Beauty, Excellence, Stimulation & Rejuvenation

Our products are based on science, precision, and close collaboration with leading physicians. Free from parabens, paraffins, mineral oils, silicones, and animal-derived ingredients, they stand for the highest quality – in professional use as well as in daily care. The power of targeted skin stimulation through dermaneedling has impressed us from the very beginning with its ability to loosen and smooth scar tissue. Equally impactful is rejuvenation through high-dose active ingredients that penetrate deep into the skin, strengthen its barrier, and support it even after significant stress such as chemotherapy or mastectomy.

Derma SR – Born from Passion, Grown through Responsibility

We see ourselves not only as a cosmetics brand but as a partner for sustainable skin vitality. Our commitment is reflected in education, close collaboration with physicians, and products specifically developed for use in paramedical skin care. Especially during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we want to remind everyone: Beauty is more than aesthetics – it is dignity, strength, and joy in life.
